Good nights and bad

Ever since Xander has been "sleeping throught the night" he has had this routine of 3 or 4 really good nights followed by 3 or 4 bad nights. Let me explain the difference between good and bad nights. A good night is sleepin 8 or more hours and waking up once or not at all during the night. A bad night is anytime he wakes up 2 or more times (usually it's 3 or more). These last 2 nights have been so wonderful that when Xander has woken at his VERY NORMAL 6:30am time, he has finished his chocolate milk and fallen back to sleep till 8!! This picture was taken yesterday morning when he fell back asleep in my bed after waking at his normal time and drinking his chocolate milk. Today I actually had to wake him up at 8:20. He was not happy with me at all and it took him awhile to come to. Now if only I can get him to sleep that late on days i DON'T have to be up and getting ready for work.......

We're having a heat wave!!

It has been in the 80's the last 2 days and will continue to be above 80 degrees for the next 7 days. It is so beautiful. I guess winter's over? Xander got to play outside last night while I grilled dinner. He has some new shades from his Aunt Maggie, they have Buzz on them. I will take this Spring weather any day. We are looking forward to a beautiful St Patty's Day this Saturday as we head downtown for the parade.

Big News

I am 10 weeks along today. Patrick and I made Xander a shirt to announce it to the family. I'll get a picture soon!!! If you ask him if we are having a boy or a girl, he says GIRLS. So you ask him how many girls and he holds up the number 1. (thank goodness).

Nonus and lotlogs.

Xander is finally starting to talk alot more. He has been in speech for almost a year and he went from nearly silent to attempting just about anthing you tell him to say. Over the weekend, he really wanted lotlogs (hotdogs) for lunch and since i bought Doughnuts for breakfast, he would ask for nonus. It makes me giggle everytime he asks for something, because i competely understand what he wants.

Coloring

Xander decided this morning before leaving for the babysitters that he wanted to color. He still holds things with both his left hand and right hand. When do you know which is their dominate hand? Notice how his Dragon blanket (lovey) is looking on. He's so stinkin cute, I can't ever imagine him growing up.

Don't lose faith in me!

I want to do this. I really do. This whole blogging thing. I really really really want to blog for all of you that don't get to see or hear about Xander on a regular basis. To recap some things that you've missed. Xander is almost 2 1/2. I potty trained him the weekend before Christmas (26 months old) and he's been doing amazing ever since. NO MORE DIAPERS. Yesterday was the first time that he ever went to the bathroom without first telling someone. Patrick came in from checking on stuff at the grill and found Xander sitting on the potty (he uses the big potty, we loaned his small one out) so you can see what a big deal that is!! He was moved to a toddler bed shortly after potty training since he was waking up in the middle of the night in order to use the bathroom. He only fell out of bed the first night and has been good since. I can't believe how fast this year has already been going. I hope you guys won't lose faith in me. I'm going to really pick up on this whole blogging thing!!!!

I just got done reading this book and I have to say.... WOW. This little boy's story is amazing. I love reading this type of book. I definatlly recommend this book along with 90 Minutes In Heaven.

Blogger Envy

I love to read other blogs and I secretly wish I was as good of bloggers as they are. One of my favorites is Rants from Mommyland. These two ladies are HILARIOUS!! They go by Kate and Lydia and call their kids things like "Little Terror Suspects" and "A Cupcake Baked by the Devil". I love reading their blogs, they make me laugh.EVERY.DAY. 3 year anniversary!

The handy hottie and I celebrated our 3 year anniversary yesterday. Destructo spent the night at his Aunt and Uncles house. HH and I went to see a movie... in a movie theater!! Neither of us can remember the last time we had set foot in a theater. Last night we saw Fast Five. SO.GOOD. What movie can come out with sequel after sequel and they are still awesome?! This movie is for anyone who likes to stare at hot guys, hot girls, hot cars, likes love stories, action, or suspense. You can't go wrong with this movie. I loved it, and I will see it again.

HH and I then went to eat at Casa Gallardo. Now if you know me well enough, you know that I don't like Mexican food. Normally when we go to this restaurant (which is one of the Hottie's favorites) I get chicken fingers or something else that's "safe". But this time, I ventured out and got some steak and chicken fajitas, YUMMY!!! They were delicious!! I'm very excited to have found something that I actually like at this restaurant. With my fajitas, I also enjoyed a very tasty Strawberry Daiquiri. Double YUMMY!!!

Since Destructo was spending the night somewhere else, I took advantage of rearranging my AM schedule this morning so that I could sleep in. For all you moms out there, you can appreciate the fact that I slept till 8:45!!!! (for all you non-moms you're probably thinking WHUCK! that's still really early) But I enjoyed it oh so much!!!! I woke up with out an alarm, with out a crying baby, and without any where to be!
