Blogger Envy

I love to read other blogs and I secretly wish I was as good of bloggers as they are. One of my favorites is Rants from Mommyland. These two ladies are HILARIOUS!! They go by Kate and Lydia and call their kids things like "Little Terror Suspects" and "A Cupcake Baked by the Devil". I love reading their blogs, they make me laugh.EVERY.DAY. Here is a link to their Rant about mother's day. http://www.rantsfrommommyland.com/2010/05/mothers-day-is-always-disappointment.html

3 year anniversary!

The handy hottie and I celebrated our 3 year anniversary yesterday. Destructo spent the night at his Aunt and Uncles house. HH and I went to see a movie... in a movie theater!! Neither of us can remember the last time we had set foot in a theater. Last night we saw Fast Five. SO.GOOD. What movie can come out with sequel after sequel and they are still awesome?! This movie is for anyone who likes to stare at hot guys, hot girls, hot cars, likes love stories, action, or suspense. You can't go wrong with this movie. I loved it, and I will see it again.

HH and I then went to eat at Casa Gallardo. Now if you know me well enough, you know that I don't like Mexican food. Normally when we go to this restaurant (which is one of the Hottie's favorites) I get chicken fingers or something else that's "safe". But this time, I ventured out and got some steak and chicken fajitas, YUMMY!!! They were delicious!! I'm very excited to have found something that I actually like at this restaurant. With my fajitas, I also enjoyed a very tasty Strawberry Daiquiri. Double YUMMY!!!

Since Destructo was spending the night somewhere else, I took advantage of rearranging my AM schedule this morning so that I could sleep in. For all you moms out there, you can appreciate the fact that I slept till 8:45!!!! (for all you non-moms you're probably thinking WHUCK! that's still really early) But I enjoyed it oh so much!!!! I woke up with out an alarm, with out a crying baby, and without any where to be!

Happy 3 year Anniversary Handy Hottie, I love you!!!

Destructo's first haircut

We took the plung! Destructo had his first haircut and he looks like such a big boy. He's like a mini man now. He went to the same stylist that the Handy Hottie sees and she was great! Popped a sucker in the kids mouth and started cutting away. Here is a before picture and an after picture.

I'm the worst blogger EVER!!

Who cares about days 9 through 30, right??? Instead, lets talk about what an amazing kid I have. Destructo has been going to a new babysitter for 3 weeks now. He is doing so well there and he loves it so much that he doesn't even cry when I drop him off anymore!! Let me tell you how much better my day is when I get a kiss and a wave goodbye instead of tears. Destructo's personality is so great at this age that I wish I could pause life right now and stay here forever. He was talking to the Handy Hottie on the phone the other day (well Daddy was doing the talking) and when he says "okay I have to go", Destructo pulled the phone away from his ear and waves to the phone!! *heart is melting just remembering it* He gives the best hugs. And who can't resist a cutie in cowboy boots?

Day 7 - A picture of my most treasured item

ooops, Saturday was Day 7 buuut, I don't do much blogging on the weekends (that gives me no excuse to why today is Thursday, except that I suck). Back to "A picture of my most treasured item. " This one was really tough for me. I don't know that I could say that I have ever really treasured an item. I tend to focus more on relationships and memories.

So.... I treasure my family. No matter how out of the ordinary, strange, crazy, or well... you get the point. I love my family very much .

I also treasure my friendships. I have so many great friends in my life.

Day 4 - A picture of my night

Yeah so I'm not really sure what this day's blog is really supposed to be about. So my evening last night consisted coming home from work to find my two favorite men playing. Even though this picture was not taken last night, it shows the mischief that my Destructo can get into. I love that little guy!

Day 3 - A picture of the cast from my favorite show

I don't feel that I watch a whole lot of television, but there some shows that I'm pretty pasionate about.
My all time favorite show is Alias which is no longer on the air *tear*. I love the action, the romance, and the characters. This show is AWESOME. Jennifer Garner is an amazing actress and lets face it, Michael Vartan and Bradley Cooper are HOOOOT! If you have never seen it then I highly suggest that you call me so you can borrow Season 1 and fall in love with it too.

My favorite show that is on the air at this time is the Office. It's silly and fun. I was not into this show at first because I tried watching mid season last winter while on maternity leave. A friend of let me borrow her seasons on DVD and after just a few episodes of Season 1, I was hooked. If only I could do some of the pranks that Jim does....

Day 2 - A picture of myself with the person I have known the longest

Well, besides my family, I have known this crazy beautiful girl the longest. I met her in 4th grade when I was 9 years old. I was the not so shy new girl and Karen was the ever so shy teacher’s pet. The teacher asked Karen to take me on a tour around the school and we’ve been friends ever since. This girl has been there for me in any and every situation you could think of. Through thick and thin. I have never known another friend like Karen. She makes me laugh, hugs me when I cry, and has even taken care of me in many fashions.. I would not be who I am today if it were not for her. Thank you Karen, for being there for me. LOVE YOU LOTS.

The family

I have dubbed new nicknames for my two favorite boys at home. Let me first give you a few definitions:

Destruction - the concept of damage to an object, system, or being.
Destructo - my one and a half year old son

Handyman - a person skilled at a wide range of repairs, typically around the home.
Hottie - an alternative form of the word "hot", meaning a very sexually attractive young man or woman.
Handy Hottie - my loving husband.

It's Flu Season... Do you know where your medicine is?

Yes, I got it. I got the flu. I actually got the stomach flu. Lovely right? I was in and out of the bathroom for 10 hours the other day. I even asked my Handy Hottie (aka: the husband's new nickname) if he would "please nail my coffin shut". I thought I was going to die. How does your body have that many fluids to produce when you are SURE there can't be another drop of liquid in your stomach?

Poor Destructo (the baby's new nickname) didn't know what to think about me avoiding him, running past him in the hallway and slamming doors in his face. All he wanted was a hug and I didn't even have that to give.

After the 10 hours, I finally started to feel some what up to coming out of my hiding hole. I attempted to go to work the next day but my body was in no way going to allow me to jump back into the swing of things that quickly. I ended up leaving work early, having chicken noodle soup (the first food I had eaten in over 36 hours), and taking a nap. But now, I'm back. I'm alive. Thank you Handy Hottie for NOT nailing my coffin shut and sending me to my early grave.

Back from Daytona

Well, I'm back. I'm back to work, back to the real world, back to Missouri, and BACK TO THIS BLOG. I have finally decided, THIS is my new year's resolution. Blogging. I can do it.

I went to Daytona for a little vacay. Destructo stayed behind in the care of my inlaws and man was that tough. I missed the kid like crazy. Florida weather was so nice, 75 degrees each day. People were swimming in the ocean. The streets were crowded with tourists. I got to experience the Daytona 500. I also got two tattoos while I was there. My favorite part of the trip was this town called St Augustine http://www.augustine.com/, I could walk around all day in that town. They had shops and fudge stores, taverns and resteraunts. An old fort, jail, and wooden school house. The pirate museum, Rippleys Believe It or Not museum, and an alligator farm. I hope to go back to this town someday and see even more of its beauty. More pictures of the trip can be seen at http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1312061204

Bring it on 2011

H A P P Y
N E W
Y E A R

Let me tell you what a great start we had to our new year.
The debate... to go out or to stay home.
Destructo went to bed at 7pm, so the Handy Hottie stayed home and I stopped by a friends house. I was home by 10:30 so we put in a movie. We were both asleep by 11, woke up at 11:56, watched the ball drop, said happy new year, kissed and went to bed.
